There are those who say all the profitable niches have been taken. Of course this just isn’t true. The internet and its users are ever changing. It’s an evolving and growing industry. That means there will always be opportunities. The challenge is to find those opportunities and to recognize them. Here are the top tips to help you find profitable niche ideas.

#1 Start with what you know. Make a good long list of the things you know and would enjoy writing and/or talking about. These can be one word topics like Football, Beagles, cheesecake and so on. Don’t worry about the length of this list. You’ll be adding to it and if you end up with one hundred potential niches to research that’s just fine.

#2 Add what you want to know or are interested in. Add to your list the topics you’re interested in learning more about. If you have a passionate interest it can be a great niche.

#3 Use trend tools. There are a number of trend tools available online. These include websites devoted to business trends and social networking trend identifiers. Also, search engines post the most popular search topics for the day, week and month. Use these tools to help you brainstorm niches to research. You may find you generate a few new ideas or perhaps you’re starting to fine tune some of your original topic ideas. Keep that idea list growing.

#4 Pay attention to the masses. Get on social networking sites, blogs and forums. Pay attention to what people are talking about. What questions commonly arise? What are people curious about? What’s causing a controversy? Write down the niche ideas that come to you. You can research them later.

#5 Use online research tools. Use keyword tools to help you expand on your growing list of potential niche ideas. These keyword tools will help you brainstorm two, three and four word keyword phrases. For example, keyword research on “football” may generate Heisman Trophy Football Winners. If you love college football then this may be a potential niche. You could build an entire site on the history and controversies surrounding the Heisman Trophy each year.

There are other online research tools you can use. For example NowRelevant.com will show you everything about your subject for the past two weeks. Enter your keywords and it generates a list of website links. These links can help you brainstorm potential niches.

You now likely have a good long list of potential niches. Research them for supply and demand and start refining that list. Weed out the ideas that have little or no profitability. Keep the ideas that have merit or warrant further research. Profitable niches are there just waiting for you to uncover and take advantage.

When launching an online business two things are essential. You need to have a website address, aka a URL. You also need to have a website host. A host is essentially a company or service that stores the pages of your website and makes them available to computers and devices connected to the Internet.

Hosting plans come with a wide variety of:

* Prices
* Features
* Customer service policies and procedures
* Reliability
* Capacity

It therefore makes sense to spend some time evaluating your needs and comparing hosts. First, you have to know where to look to find them.

How to Find Hosting Plans:

Perhaps the easiest way to begin your search is to type “website hosting” into your search engine of choice. However, you’ll end up with thousands of results to choose from. This can feel overwhelming and may not be the most efficient way to approach this task. Instead consider asking associates, friends and family who they use to host their website. Ask them if they’re happy with their hosting and how they made their decision. This should give you a handful of hosting options to research. Also take a look at online hosting comparison charts. However, be aware that many websites that create these charts are also affiliates for the hosting companies. They earn a commission when you click on one of their links and make a purchase. So make sure to also back up any research found on a comparison chart with your own research.

How to Compare Hosting Plans:

Price is only one factor when comparing hosting plans. Because there are so many to choose from you may want to make price your final decision maker. This means first comparing the hosting plans based on:

* Easy File Upload – Does the host support your file type?
* Data Space – Make sure your host can accommodate the size of your website with room for future growth.
* Bandwidth – How quickly will the pages load?
* File Size Limitations – How much space do you need for your website?
* Server Reliability – How often is the server up and how often do they backup?
* Security – How secure is your information? How secure is your visitor’s information?
* Customer Service – How responsive are they to questions and needs?

Evaluating potential hosting plans by these criteria will likely narrow down your choices to just a few options. You can then evaluate them based on price. Website hosting ranges from free to fifty dollars a month and the features and services vary widely. Evaluate what you need and then compare hosting plans. Make sure they can fit your business needs.

Your email list can launch your business and help you achieve your biggest dreams. It’s the key to a long lasting and successful business. However, some people struggle to build their list. Others struggle to make money from their list. Here are seven tips to build an email list that brings results.

1. Make them an offer they can’t refuse. The best way to motivate someone to sign up for your email list is to make them an offer they can’t refuse. We’re talking about a super valuable giveaway. For many online marketers information products are a good motivating giveaway.

eBooks, reports, online courses and even videos or audios are a good list building tool. They provide the subscriber with instant gratification. And when the freebie is a top quality item, they’re sure to remain an avid subscriber. This means subsequent emails sent to them will be opened, read and acted upon.

2. Make sure your offer is strongly related to your niche. Some people make the mistake of offering freebies that don’t strongly correlate to their niche business or goal. For example a fitness trainer may offer a free report on how to eat for fat burning. However, their website is otherwise devoted to fitness training exercises.

People interested in fat burning are going to download the report but they may not necessarily be interested in fitness training or exercises. You want to draw the subscribers who will be interested in also buying your products and returning to your website.

3. Connect and network. One of the best ways to build an opt in list is to network. Get out, shake hands literally. Pass out business cards. Participate on social networking feeds and include a website link on your profile and in some posts. Participate on blogs and industry forums. The more places you visit and the more people you meet the more traffic you’ll drive to your website opt-in form.

4. Build partnerships to build your list. Partnerships with relevant businesses can be a powerful way to grow an effective email list. For example, an information website about pet grooming and a website that sells pet grooming supplies might benefit from cross promoting one another’s list.

5. Article marketing. Article marketing accomplishes a number of business building tasks. It can also be used to drive strategic traffic to an opt-in page or squeeze page. However, when using article marketing be sure to:

a. Write a top notch article that makes people want to read more.
b. Offer a compelling and relevant giveaway to motivate an opt-in
c. Link to your squeeze page from your article and/or author’s resource box.

6. Strategic PPC. Finally, consider creating highly specific and targeted PPC campaigns to drive traffic to your opt-in page. Advertise the giveaway. Test and track your ads for success.

7. Make sure your opt in form is placed in a prominent position on your website. Consider testing and tracking various locations to see which location works best. And make sure to follow up with your subscribers. There’s no point in building a great opt-in list if you’re not going to use it!

Having a large list of people to continually send your offers to is a great way
to increase your results while doing minimal work. All other things being
equal, a big list is better than a small one. However, list building can seem to
take a long time. Here are a few ways that you can speed up that process and
get a huge list at the same time.

Exchange mailings with other list owners. You will each benefit from the
other person’s list. However, to avoid violating trust with list members,
neither of you will actually be able to see who is on the other list. You will
only be sending your offer to each other’s list. But how do you make your list
bigger this way? Simply include an opt-in for their readers. Adding an
“exclusive” that is only available only to their readers will sweeten the deal
and increase the odds of their signing up. Believe it or not, many list owners
that swap mailings never ask people to opt in or use a good quality opt in
template .

Ask your current subscribers to tell others about your list. You have to be sure
that you have offered enough value so they feel good about making the
recommendation. It’s also a good idea to send messages on a regular basis so
they remember who you are. If you like, offer a token gift for those who
bring in new subscribers. Don’t make it too big or you may get people
creating fake accounts to claim their gift.

List building contests are another way you can use to quickly increase the
number of subscribers. You will want to offer a big enough prize to get
people excited. Offer a few top-level prizes, but also have a prize for each
person that refers somebody. It will take a little more effort to set up a
contest. For example, adding the code to automatically track who is sending
new people to your list so they are credited properly.

Exchanging mailings, having current subscribers help, offering incentives
and running a list building contest are some of the list building methods that
work. You can add a lot of people quite quickly, but there is one small catch.
You actually have to do them to see the results. So, instead of just reading
about it and thinking how great it all sounds, take action and see the positive
results for yourself.

You can start building your list with this high converting opt in video
template that will quickly add subscribers to your list.
